I’m Erin Nesci, founder and creator of the BACE™ Method and a Human Performance & Identity Consultant.
I work with women and teams who have achieved success, yet feel a quiet misalignment beneath the surface. A sense that the work they built no longer reflects who they’ve become. I created BACE to bring people back to themselves before they choose what comes next, because clarity at the identity level makes every decision simpler, cleaner, and more aligned.
My method blends identity-first exploration with practical clarity supported by Birkman® and Energy Leadership Index® insights. Losing Myself in the Pursuit of “Success”
Before BACE, I spent over twenty years building a career that made perfect sense on paper.
Safe, smart, respected…and increasingly disconnected from who I truly was.
As a child, I imagined a life filled with creativity, connection, and meaning. I loved making music, planning events, and bringing people together.
But somewhere along the way, practicality replaced possibility.
I followed the path that was encouraged.
I built a successful corporate career.
I earned a senior leadership role at a credit union.
From the outside, it looked like I had arrived.
But success without alignment is a slow erosion.
I remember sitting in a meeting thinking, Is this really it?
Not with gratitude, but with the sudden realization that I had built a life that no longer felt like mine.
The irony here is that I had built a successful career helping organizations find their voice, yet felt unable to use my own.
My creativity dimmed.
My confidence quietly crumbled.
My well‑being followed suit.
In climbing the corporate ladder, I’d left myself behind.
I had built success around who I thought I should be, not who I was becoming. And no amount of achievement could fill the gap created by this misalignment.
The Turning Point
Eventually, I stopped trying to figure out what to do next
and started figuring out who I was again.
I reconnected with creativity.
I learned to trust my own thinking.
I rebuilt confidence, not from achievement, but from alignment.
And from that process came the realization I cannot unsee:
Most successful people aren’t stuck because they lack ideas.
They’re stuck because they’ve outgrown identities that once made sense.
They don’t need more strategy.
They need clarity about who they’re becoming.
What I Believe
- Success stops feeling like success when it no longer reflects who we’re becoming.
- Identity precedes strategy. Clarity about who you are must come before decisions about what you do.
- Creativity isn’t an artistic talent; it’s the human capacity to build work that feels true.
- Feeling stuck often means you’ve outgrown who you used to be.
